Workshops

Digital Production

In this work shop, we used Adobe Illustrator and Flash.
Using random photographs of cardboard packaging, we had to crate a short animation.
Stills from my animation are bellow.

Black room Photography

In this workshop we experimented with Photograms, using random objects, then developing them in the black room.
We also played around with different ways in developing them, using paint brushes etc.
Some of my images are shown bellow.

Ceramics

In this workshop, we made wax fruit.
To do this we produced a clay structure around a fruit of our choice, then proceeded in making a plaster mould.
We then poured hot wax into the mould and waited for it to set .
This is my finished product.

Digital Production - Photography

In my second Digital Production workshop, I focused on Photography.
I used my own camera for this. Canon EOS 1000D.
We began to experiment with the ISO, starting at 100 and taking photographs up to 800 ISO; this measures the camera's sensitivity to light, as seen bellow.
The lower the ISO, the darker the image.

After this exercise we also learnt about Aperture - the size of the opening in the lens, and the shutter speed - the length the shutter is open.
We were then told to set our cameras to an ISO of 800, our shutter speed to 1/60 of a second and the aperture to F5.6, and take 10 photographs around our campus.
We were also told to try to keep the perfect exposure (0).
These are some of my photographs.

We then had to process our images into a contact sheet.
We then experiment with using RAW photographs, as they hold much more information and have a higher DPI then regular images.
We were asked to process these on Photoshop and save them in various different formats, including JPEG and TIFF.
My JPEG image is shown bellow.
